๐ŸŽ™๏ธ MicSplit

Every microphone recorded to its own separate track. Connect a multi-track wireless receiver and each voice arrives as its own clean file โ€” not the single mixed recording you normally get.

iPhone & iPad iOS 17+ No Account Needed

Separate voices, separate files.

When two people talk over each other, separate tracks are the difference between a fixable edit and an unusable one. Level one voice without touching the other. Cut a cough from one track and leave the rest alone.

โœ๏ธ

Name each speaker

Name a transmitter once and it stays with the audio โ€” in the filename, in the WAV’s metadata, and in an iXML track list. Your editor shows “Ava” and “Ben”, not “channel 1” and “channel 2”.

๐ŸŽฌ

Straight into your editor

Export a Reaper or Adobe Audition session with every track already laid out and lined up in sync. Or share the raw WAVs and take them anywhere.

๐Ÿ“‚

Nothing locked in

Recordings live in the Files app as ordinary WAVs. No account, no cloud, no subscription, and nothing to export from later.

Made to be trusted with a take.

A recording you cannot repeat deserves a recorder that tells you exactly what it is doing.

๐ŸŽš๏ธ

16, 24-bit or 32-bit float

Float is effectively unclippable, so a sudden laugh can be pulled back down in post instead of being lost.

๐Ÿ“Š

Meters that tell the truth

Per-channel levels with held peaks and clip warnings, so you set gain before you roll rather than finding a problem afterwards.

๐ŸŽ›๏ธ

Record only what you need

Arm or disarm each microphone. Disarmed mics still show levels, so you can watch one you have chosen not to record.

๐Ÿ”‡

Silent tracks flagged

A transmitter that was switched off is marked after recording, so a dead mic does not surprise you in the edit.

๐Ÿ”’

Keeps going when locked

Recording continues in the background, so a locked phone in a pocket does not end your take.

๐ŸŽง

Review before you leave

Play every track together with solo and mute, so you can check each voice while you are still in the room.

A receiver with multi-track output.

A wireless microphone receiver that supports multi-track USB output, connected to your iPhone or iPad over USB-C. Most two- and four-transmitter systems offer this in their own settings menu.

โš ๏ธ

Check the receiver’s mode first

In its default mixed mode a receiver sends one combined track, and no app can separate voices once they have been mixed together in hardware. MicSplit shows how many tracks it is actually receiving, so you find out before you record rather than after.
